Job Description:
The Opportunity:Avantor is looking for a dedicated Sales Manager
to be responsible for all sales and marketing to LDS customers
(US-based resellers) with a main focus on achieving annual
sales/margin IOP.This role will be a full-time remote/virtual
position and will travel up to 30% domestically (as needed).You
will have the opportunity to interact and work with customers to
ensure we are their 'go to' supplier. What we're looking for:
- Education:
- College degree or equivalent/applicable experience; science
background preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years B2B sales experience, preferably in a
distribution environment.
- Market knowledge and experience preferred.
- Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to travel up to 30% domestically as needed.
- Experience using SAP is a plus and/or other CRM systems.
- Strong negotiations skills required.
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication
skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel..)
- Ability to learn new software as well as run basic reports in
Business Warehouse.
- Interpersonal skills; must be able to effectively work across
functional teams including customer service and pricing teams.How
you will thrive and create an impact:
- Expand market share at top 50 customers (platinum and premier);
build and solidify strategic reseller partnerships.
- Prepare and execute business development strategies to onboard
new customers and expand sales at lower tier customers (bronze
through gold).
- Drive pricing and freight strategies to achieve margin
expansion; leverage Select Program to differentiate customers and
help drive growth and profitability.
- Process and manage all customer quote requests; use strategic
pricing at VWR targeted end-users to help mitigate channel
conflict.
- Coordinate with Operations and key suppliers to ensure service
levels meet or exceed customers' requirements (lead times, minimum
stock levels, special packaging, documentation, etc.).
- DSO: coordinate with NCO (National Credit Organization) to
drive compliance.
- Marketing: establish quarterly rebate incentives, special
promotions, e-mail blasts and mailings; coordinate with Category
