FUNCTION / SUMMARY: Reviews customer financial data and enters
information into standardized bank financial statement software.
Provides account officers with financial calculations/statements
used to determine the profitability of customers and credit risks
associated with making credit decisions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives financial statements for corporate and individual loan
customers, reviews financial data (e.g. notes payable, type of loan
account, income statement, balance sheet, etc.), assesses the
quality of financial statements, determine the appropriate
information to enter into the Optimist software system. Enters key
performance indicator figures provided by bankers into Optimist
software.
- Interprets financial data and notifies credit analysts,
department management, etc. and/or account officer of incomplete
statements, inconsistent information and/or financial statement
abnormalities.
- Assist analytical staff with research in loan system which is
used to provide additional data for the Shared National Credit
Report, Energy report, etc.
- Upon request by lenders compile credit and deposit
summaries/rundowns on customers.
- Performs all other duties and special projects as
assigned.
- Incumbent is required to comply with all applicable federal,
state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations
including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act. SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES: None MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE &
KNOWLEDGE:
- Minimum requirements of coursework completed towards a 4 year
college degree required including 9 or more hours in accounting or
finance
- 4 year college degree preferred; High school diploma or GED
required
- Previous experience working with financial statement
spreadsheet software preferred ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the
essential job functions
- Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform
the essential job functions
- Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job
functions
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required
to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable
to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without
causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the
employee must be accommodated; hence omitting
