Job Description:

We have several apartment/housing communities in the Harvey, LA area with a combined total of over 500 units. We are seeking a Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to work in the management office for these properties.Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Professionally answer and screen all telephone calls and direct callers to the appropriate individual.
  • Welcome, assist and directing walk-ins/residents/prospects.
  • Enter all work orders and assign to property managers for reassignment to maintenance staff.
  • Assist the Regional Manager with special assignments.
  • Distribute mail and packages
  • Accept rent payments and provide receipts upon request, then route the payment to the appropriate property manager
  • Oversee the general appearance of the office, including keeping supplies well stocked.
  • Keep track of maintenance personnel locations, apartment vacancies, and management staff appointments
  • Review incoming email and route to the appropriate person.
  • Perform basic clerical duties such as creating and printing notices, assisting the leasing agent with current vacancy listings, replenishing brochures/business cards/rental applications, etc
  • Provide general information from tenant ledgers.
  • Make calls to residents/vendors as needed.
  • Coordinate quarterly events (ex. Halloween, July 4th, Xmas).
  • Send files to collection agencies as needed.
  • Keep a daily communication log, record incoming traffic, keep vital notes, and document important issues that arise.The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

    • Great, friendly attitude daily even when it is difficult to smile.
    • Strong work ethic, great time management, adept at multi-tasking.
    • Reliable, dependable, helpful, conscience of appearance
    • Able to handle high pressured situations
    • Be a quick learner
    • Experience in a customer-oriented environment is preferred
    • Attendance and punctuality are prioritiesRequirements:
      • High school diploma
      • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
