The Admissions Coordinator reports to the Director of Admission and
plays a critical, front-line role in welcoming prospective families
to St. George’s Episcopal School. This position supports all facets
of the admissions process—from initial inquiry through
enrollment—with particular responsibility for coordinating and
delivering thoughtful, personalized experiences for prospective
families. Key responsibilities include scheduling and conducting
campus tours, coordinating and facilitating student visits,
managing admissions events such as open houses and information
sessions and serving as a primary point of contact for applicant
and newly enrolled families throughout and after the admissions
cycle. The Admissions Coordinator works closely with faculty, staff
and division leaders to ensure that each prospective family’s
experience reflects St. George’s mission, culture and commitment to
knowing and supporting every child. During peak points in the
application cycle, the position requires flexibility to work
outside of traditional business hours to support tours, interviews,
events and family engagement. The ideal candidate brings experience
in admissions, enrollment management, sales or other
customer-facing roles, along with strong organizational skills,
excellent interpersonal communication and the ability to create
efficient, well-coordinated processes. Requirements: Essential
Duties and Responsibilities Support the mission of St. George's and

current parents as well as the community at large Maintain a
working knowledge of curriculum, developmental stages and culture
within each division to ensure information is accurately shared
with prospective families Foster and maintain high ethical
standards, integrity and respect for colleagues, alumni, parents
and students throughout the admissions process, following the NAIS
Principles of Good Practice for Admissions Contribute to the
standards of the school by recruiting and retaining students who
will benefit from and enrich the school’s unique culture and
programmatic offerings, including the school’s commitment to a
diverse, equitable and inclusive school community Carry out
admissions procedures to gather information on prospective
students, including visiting schools, meeting students, talking to
parents and reaching out to school personnel/teachers for
supplemental materials With the Director of Admission, plan special
programs for prospective, incoming and current students and family
members (i.e. Open Houses, information coffees, etc.) Assist in
planning and facilitating recruitment programs and events,
including maintaining a database of community partners and
preschool directors Conduct Nursery to 8th grade tours, ensuring
consistency in messaging and experience with other tour givers
Regularly collaborate with the Director of Admission and Division
Directors and attend professional development sessions in order to
stay up-to-date with curricular and programmatic changes Monitor
faculty and staff newsletters and blogs and reference curriculum
night materials to remain apprised of classroom activities, units
and projects Greet all incoming visitors and provide a warm welcome
environment to all students, parents and other visitors Coordinate
applicant visits and play dates, including scheduling,
documentation, faculty needs and parent communications Work with
the Admissions Screener to schedule applicant screenings during
their on-campus visits, compiling documentation and feedback about
visitors as needed for Admissions Committee meetings Attend all
Admissions Committee meetings and serve on the board’s Marketing
and Admission Committee Order St. George’s-branded materials, and
manage all new enrollment mailings and welcome boxes, including
print and swag components, as well as postage or drop-off Support
the director as they develop and facilitate programs designed to
retain currently enrolled families Attend Advancement Team meetings
and support events and programs pertinent to Advancement Team
colleagues, including Parents Group and development functions
Monitor social media for mentions of or questions regarding
enrollment at St. George’s Think creatively, utilizing an
innovative approach and technology to create process efficiencies
Maintain confidentiality of documents and information received
Support admission and enrollment data entry, including the
processing of all inquiries, applications and enrollments in
collaboration with the Director of Admission Maintain logs and
complete required training in accordance with St. George’s and
state licensing standards: visitor log, required services log, CPR
training, background checks, mandated reporter training, etc.
Complete a once or twice-weekly carpool duty and support other
administrative tasks as needed Complete other admissions-related
tasks assigned by the Director of Admission Qualification
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in education, business,
communications, marketing or similar field required 5 years’
experience in sales or admissions or similar fast-paced
environments An understanding of child development and a love for
children Willingness to work extended hours, including early
mornings, evenings and/or weekends for admission-related events,
tours, etc. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to
work well in a team; ability to work collaboratively with parents,
faculty members and Division Directors Knowledge and experience of
Google Suite products and similar technologies Backend experience
and proficiency with a CRM or SIS preferred Sense of integrity,
ethics and ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with
the school’s policies and procedures Ability to develop, maintain
and promote cooperative, professional and respectful working
relationships with all employees, parents, students, board members,
volunteers and prospective families Enthusiasm for the job and a
positive, supportive customer service approach and ability to work
hard to support and strengthen the school’s brand across New
Orleans Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong
