Disney Cruise Line (DCL) Marketing Strategy is a vibrant, fast-moving team that drives both short- and long-term business goals that include growing consumer demand and bookings, strengthing our brand and differentiation, and driving commercial value. The team also leads Marketing and Sales go-to-market strategies partnering closely with other Marketing and Sales functions as well as partners in other functions like Public Relations, Operations, Finance, Revenue Management, Port Strategy, Entertainment, and Walt Disney Imagineering.

The Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy position reports to the Director, Marketing and Sales Strategy, Disney Cruise Line. This position is located in Celebration, FL and offers a hybrid arrangement of in-person and work from home days.

You will be responsible for leading the development of marketing strategies informed by data, business performance, and consumer insights to deliver business goals. Performing the role with excellence includes leading a team of direct reports and multi-disciplinary partners across the full marketing mix, managing a high volume of complex programs, partnering with leadership at all levels within DPEP, and demonstrating business savvy.

  • Champion new revenue-driving solutions (i.e. products and experiences) onboard Disney cruise ships that have strong consumer benefit and align with growth strategies
  • Identify commercial opportunities that will generate additional profitable revenue, including business/brand benefits and risks
  • Analyze commercial performance and create marketing plans that support planned revenue growth across the fleet
  • Balance a bias-for-action with thoughtful planning to ensure programs are commercially viable and create the highest value
  • Enhance the commercial sensibility of the organization and promote cultural change
  • Establish close partnerships with DCL Operations, Finance, Revenue Management, and Consumer Insights
  • Identify key franchise priorities for DCL and DSE based on The Walt Disney Company content slate, opportunities for synergy and greatest near-term commercial potential
  • Engage and inspire partners across the site to activate new, overlay existing, and/or curate and prioritize products and experiences to maximize commercialization, representation, and amplification
  • Maximize value for high priority corporate projects (e.g. Disney+) by extending reach to DSE audiences through integrated marketing plans
  • Drive substantive growth from underpenetrated consumer segments through insight-driven marketing and communications planning BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • 8+ years relevant marketing experience, ideally in Marketing Strategy, Brand Management, or Advertising Account Management
    • Demonstrated ability to look at the big picture from a consumer perspective
    • Proven critical thinking skills, foundational to developing strategies and strategic planning
    • Experience in project management and driving ideas into action
    • Skilled at understanding performance metrics to assess & optimize programs
    • Skilled at building effective partner relationships and influencing peer partners/leaders
    • Proven leadership abilities in motivating, directing, and coaching teams
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus superior professionalism
    • Advanced presentation skills and proven track record of presenting to executive audiences DESIRED QUALIFICAITONS
      • Previous work experience in brand management, marketing strategy, consumer package goods, distribution channel and sales strategy
      • Minimum 2 years management / supervisory experience REQUIRED EDUCATION
        • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent PREFERRED EDUCATION
          • MBA or strong business experience and background
