DescriptionSummary of Position:The Marketing and Communications Coordinator acts to communicate the vision of the Easterseals Louisiana (ESL) in a bold, passionate, and compelling manner. They work to create and implement marketing and branding strategies for the organization through all channels of communication. They regularly liaise with ESL leadership in each of our local offices to provide support for their marketing and communications needs and to collect information for dissemination. In addition, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator works with the Vice President of Development (VPD) in implementing various development, government affairs, and business development efforts. Essential Job Duties:MarketingDrives customer awareness, engagement, and interest through the organization's social media networks in an effort to increase impressions, develop an audience, share ESL successes, promote resources for community members, and increase revenueServes as a resource to ESL staff, regularly gathering team marketing needs, developing new collateral, and maintaining a library of offerings Develops and executes strategies for community engagement through ESL regional participant eventsLeads efforts to create and execute multi-channel marketing calendarsImplement and manage ESL's online marketing efforts. - Develop and source content for digital platforms.CommunicationsFosters and maintains relationships with media outlets and produces press releases and content to secure coverage and impressions for ESL locally and statewideMaintains sole ownership for the content of ESL website.Leads development of ESL's major publications including public and employee newsletters and annual report In conjunction with VPD, trains ESL staff in communications procedures and techniques in order to empower staff to build local relationshipsProvides support to VPD in government affairs actives DevelopmentSupports VPD in all development functions of ESL including grant proposals, major gift solicitations, and event productionMaintains calendar of grants, works collaboratively with VPD to determining grants strategy, and produces content as neededMonitors grant reporting deadlines and works with VPD to collect required elements in order to submit reports on time Develops and executes the strategy for online giving days including but not limited to Giving Tuesday and Give for GoodPOSITION REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mass Communications, Marketing, or other related field requiredThree to Five years experience in marketing, communications, or nonprofit fundraising requiredDemonstrated experience in producing content for a public audience including social media posts, press releases, long form writing, proposals, and marketing collateral requiredIntermediate experience in all Microsoft Office programs and social media networks requiredExperience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) preferredAbility to self-start and manage workflow independently Demonstrated commitment to the values of diversity, inclusiveness, and empowermentComply with all contractual and reporting requirements.Ability to maintain confidentiality, where applicable.Ability and willingness to travel, as required.Perform other duties as needed or assigned.Physical Requirements: The employee is regularly required to operate a computer, file and retrieve written documents, communicate with others on the phone and in person The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands, and lift and/or move items for event setup and takedown Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
