Our client is looking for a -Marketing Director (MD) plays a critical role in telling the story of the Foundation's work educating, supporting and advancing the global Drinks Industry. Tasked with overseeing the Marketing Department and managing marketing and communication needs across the organization, the MD is responsible for creating and/or fostering programs, initiatives and products that align with the Foundation's mission and vision. - -The MD is responsible for providing direction, guidance, and leadership to the Marketing Department, making sure that all partnership and marketing activities are best positioned, monitored and measured for effectiveness. The Marketing Department team includes: - -

  • Marketing Manager, Foundation Initiatives -
  • Marketing Manager, Partnerships -
  • Marketing Agency -
    • PR Agency -
    • Multiple creative vendors -The MD should be experienced in developing and managing all aspects related to the production and implementation of brand strategy. To facilitate this process, the MD will brainstorm with each of the Foundation Departments, Marketing Agency, and PR firm(s) to define the scope, review needs and requirements, as well as timeframes for each objective. -The successful candidate will be comfortable developing and evaluating marketing strategies; planning, communicating, and coordinating marketing campaigns; developing digital partnerships; and building awareness and positioning for the Foundation's brand. - - - -This role requires a creative and dynamic individual who is passionate about the global drinks industry and is a spirited self-starter with at least 5-7 years' of experience. - The successful candidate will be a highly organized person who has the ability to own projects and meet deadlines while connecting and communicating effectively with a variety of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. - - -ESSENTIAL CORE POSITION FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES - -Overview -
      • Responsible for the annual marketing plan, budget, and overall strategy - -
      • Manage and develop a high-performing marketing team that is responsible for implementing all major announcements, initiatives, and campaigns in line with Foundation goals. -
      • Oversee Marketing Agency, PR firm(s) and Trademark renewal process to align all brand programs, events, and initiatives within the Foundation's mission. - -
        • Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that meet Foundation and Partner objectives and drive new leads -
        • Oversee overall branding of Foundation, in coordination with Departments and Marketing Managers to include oversight of: Spirited Awards creative direction, overall video and photography assets, graphic design, merch, event signage and website -
        • Work with departments and IT partner to ensure implementation of Ticketing & Registration, Asana / AirTable integration and Whova/WRSTBND coordination - -Strategy -
          • Identify and foster relationships (in coordination with Departments) with Strategic Partners to include Media Partners, Committee Members, Cocktail Apprentices, Spirited Award nominees/winners, Tales Catalyst Inductees, Conference Personalities, In-Kind Partnership Opportunities, and Community Engagement -
          • Analyze and recommend emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, and competitive threats. -
          • Develop a model for partnerships, including coordination with Departments on budget, revenue forecasting, inventory, and product development -
          • Work across the organization to create sustainable practices and long-lasting initiatives that directly benefit our community through the lens of our Foundation's vision and mission, including Partner Programs. -
          • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all TOTCF programs, events, and initiatives support its mission and deliver on all expected outcomes -
            • Support Executive Team on Forecasting + Trend Analysis - -Event Ticketing & Reporting -
              • Identify opportunities and work with the Partnership and Logistics team on strategic ticketing goals and packages, registration milestones, credentialing, list management (media, photography, etc.), and plans -
              • Work with the Partnership and Programming & Events teams on strategic ticketing goals and plans, economic impact reports and post-event reporting -
                • Oversee TOTCF Reporting: Annual Report, Economic Impact Reporting, Post-Event analysis, Partner Program reports - -SKILLS + EXPERIENCE - -Required Skills/Abilities: -
                  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -
                    • Strong copywriting skills. -
                    • Up to speed with current and online marketing techniques and best practices. -
                    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. -
                    • Excellent organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail. -
                    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -
                      • Strong supervisory and leadership skills. -
                      • Proficient with G-Suite or related software. - -Education and Experience: -
                        • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required -
                          • Proven experience as Marketing Director - at least five years of experience in marketing and long-range planning required. -
                          • Experience with managing CRM and marketing automation tools -
                          • Thorough knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google Adwords. -
                          • Knowledge of event planning and working within a non-profit organization is a plus. -
                          • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels. - -PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS -
