Job Description Complete Logistical Services is excited to announce
a job opening for a Maintenance Manager. We are seeking a dedicated
and skilled professional to join our team at our facility in
Jefferson, LA. This position is a direct hire, full-time
opportunity, focusing on maintaining and enhancing our operational
efficiencies and safety. This role is instrumental in ensuring our
machinery and physical plant are kept in peak condition to support
the continuity and quality of production. The Maintenance Manager
is responsible for a wide range of duties including the
maintenance, service, and troubleshooting of equipment and site
property. It demands a proactive approach in managing the repair
and maintenance schedules to prevent downtime and extend the life
of equipment. Please be aware, this is not a remote job, and the
successful candidate will be required to work onsite. Duties &
Responsibilities Address and prioritize any safety concerns that
arise, ensuring quick resolution to maintain a safe work
environment. Actively look for unsafe work areas or practices and
correct these issues through personal action or by directing team
members. Coach and train subordinates in safe and efficient work
practices. Develop new procedures or update existing procedures to
improve safety, efficiency, and product quality. Manage maintenance
team members and subcontractors effectively using a structured
project list, handle emergency calls, and carry out regular
preventive maintenance activities. Read and understand technical
manuals related to equipment and controls. Disassemble,
troubleshoot, repair, or replace malfunctioning components of
machinery and equipment. Adjust and calibrate machinery to optimal
operating conditions. Maintain operational condition of industrial
production or processing equipment. Engage in and manage continuous
improvement projects to enhance production efficiency. Provide
necessary support and supervision to assigned production lines.
Communicate effectively with Production Operators and Line Leaders
about line issues and improvements. Train, assist, and evaluate the
skill progression of Maintenance Technicians. Manage and order
spare parts through the Facilities Clerk to maintain a suitable
inventory. Develop and implement continuous improvement projects
aimed at equipment and process optimization. Requirements Organized
with attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of maintenance and
safety are prioritized. Must be an effective communicator, able to
convey information clearly and listen to team members’ needs in a
constructive manner. Value teamwork and possess the ability to lead
and inspire a team towards achieving maintenance and safety goals.
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, according to
production schedules and emergent needs. Technical proficiency in
electric, pneumatics, mechanical, and hydraulics. Experience in a
supervisory or managerial role within a maintenance department.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues swiftly and
efficiently. Capable of managing multiple projects and tasks
concurrently, with a proactive approach to completing tasks and
resolving issues. Understanding of inventory management and the
importance of spare parts availability in reducing downtime.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and their
practical application in a manufacturing setting. Relevant
certifications in maintenance management, engineering, or related
fields are preferred.
