Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A K-12
speech-language therapy contract position is available in Kenner,
LA, within the Jefferson Parish school district. This full-time
role entails providing telespeech and teletherapy services to
students, with hours aligned to the school calendar (35 hours per
week, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
Part-time candidates may also be considered. Primary
responsibilities include delivering speech-language pathology
services to support student communication development using
teletherapy platforms. Flexibility and adaptability in working
remotely while maintaining high-quality therapy sessions are
essential. Qualifications and experience required: Masters degree
in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active
Louisiana state licensure AND licensure in candidates state of
residence ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) Minimum of 3 years'
experience in school-based speech-language pathology Proven
experience with teletherapy in educational settings Successful
completion of a technical screening One professional reference on
file attesting to clinical competence Candidates will undergo
prescreening interviews to assess suitability. Flexibility for
interview scheduling between 9-11 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. EST is
required, with some accommodation possible. Only fully qualified
candidates meeting all licensing and experience requirements are
considered for placement. This contract position runs through May
22, 2026, with an anticipated start date as soon as possible. The
school district is currently conducting interviews. Opportunities
exist to work with varied caseloads focused on enhancing speech and
language development for K-12 students via teletherapy.
