Professional Civil Engineer - Land Development/Public Works We are searching for a collaborative, growth driven licensed Professional Civil Engineer with project management experience and expertise in the civil public works and land development market to expand the firm's business footprint in the Houma/Thibodaux, Louisiana area.

• Working within a team of professionals developing civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of municipal and private infrastructure projects.
• Managing all aspects of a project, but specifically responsible for technical designs, plans and specification production.
• Mentoring and empowering project team members. Serving as a technical design expert.
• Contributing to, and actively engaging in the refinement and implementation of the firm's marketing strategy and business growth plan for the public works markets (local, state and federal) in the South Louisiana region.

  • Min. 5-year Louisiana-licensed professional engineer (P.E.) with civil public works experience (3+ years preferred).
  • Proven skills in public works civil design, problem solving, project management, and land development.
  • Project management experience, including the development of project proposals, scopes, budgets, and the successful execution and tracking of both small and large engineering projects.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Will need to communicate clearly with clients and TBS associates to build trust.
  • Experience monitoring and controlling costs within the projects you manage. Experience solving moderately complex problems and will be expected to bring new perspectives on existing solutions. Technical Experiences:
    • Proven civil design and drainage design experience is critical
    • Sewer and water collection/distribution system design experience is a plus
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Working knowledge of Deltek Vision Project Management Software is a plus
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) is not required, but favorableSeeking a challenge?
