Description:Main PurposeRepair and maintenance engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulics, and electrical and pneumatic systems on a variety of yard equipment (i.e., hoisting equipment, manlift /scissor lifts, forklift/loaders, dozer/side booms, pipe mill, and fab shop equipment, burning equipment, painting and blasting equipment, compressors, winches, trucks, and other vehicles). The person holding this position must be able to perform various duties, including but not limited to the following. Essential FunctionsPlan, organize, and accomplish work with minimal direction and supervision.Climb and work on and around equipment, using ladders, steps, etc.Read and understand service manuals, electric, hydraulic, and air piping schematics, etc.Operate mechanic hand, power, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.Troubleshoot hydraulic, electric, and pneumatic systems.Use a burning torch and torque wrench.Operate portable and shop blasting equipment.Use measurement instruments such as measuring tapes, rulers, calipers, etc., as required.Adhere to all Company safety rules and regulations and be familiar with all safety equipment.Climb and work in high areas and confined spaces.Keep work areas clean and in orderly condition.Comply with all OSHA Safety rules and regulations.Off-site work is occasionally required. Participate in the Company's QHS&E Management System through quality performance, actions that safeguard the environment through activities that enhance health and safety in the workplace.Requirements:Physical Requirements Standing: This is an essential job function/physical requirement.Walking: This is an essential job function/physical requirement.Turning, twisting, bending, and stooping- These physical requirements are essential job functions.Pushing and Pulling- These physical requirements are essential job functions.Reaching, forward, and overhead are essential job functions /physical requirements.Climbing: This is an essential job function /physical requirement.Balancing, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing are all considered regular physical duties/requirements and would be needed/required to work in this industrial environment safely and efficiently.Lifting - employees must lift 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds.Job RequirementsTwo years of experience.Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.Must be able to pass background checks to company policy. Desirable Experience and TrainingHighschool diploma or GED.Three (3) years of work experience in hydraulic and friction cranes are required, and five (5) years of work experience are preferred. Environmental Conditions80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc. They will also be exposed to paint thinner and paint fumes.PI200904199
