DevOps Engineering plays an integral role in implementing and executing the technology release processes. The role supports WRSTBND's technology team by managing the source code management system, credentials, automating builds, automating regression testing, building tools used in software deployments, configuring monitoring, and providing mechanisms to push releases to all environments including throughout multiple cloud environments.

As a DevOps Engineer for WRSTBND, you will:

• Ensure that WRSTBND's platform is highly available, scalable, and maintainable
• Maintain and extend existing configuration management deployments
• Migrate existing deployment tools into a fully automated and managed process
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.
• Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
• Extend and enhance existing CI/CD pipelines
• Work directly with the CTO and engineers to ensure system integrity and reliability You don't have to check all the boxes, but we think these skills are important:
  • An articulate communicator with strong analytical and critical thinking skills as well as problem-solving skills.
  • 4+ years experience working in CS, engineering, software engineering, or related field
  • 1+ years Kubernetes cluster administration experience
  • Proficient with AWS tools and infrastructure (EC2, S3, EKS, IAM, ECS, Lambda, and CloudWatch)
  • Strong Linux and Bash skills
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools and scripting languages
  • Proficient with containerized systems in a cloud environment
  • Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
  • Able to work simultaneously with multiple teams and be a team player
  • Understanding of basic project management, and experienced working within scope/deadline styles common in software development.
  • Documenting processes so that other team members can easily understand scope, function, and implementation These skills will stand out the most!
    • Experience with managing DNS and resolver hierarchies
    • Ability to debug HTTP APIs and understand other communication protocols
    • Experience of continuous deployment strategies and technologies
