for an Instrumentation Controls Engineer position with a fully
integrated, sustainable energy services provider to higher
education & healthcare campuses, cities, and communities, with
utility infrastructures serving more than 130 million square feet
of space and operations in 9 cities across the United States and
growing.
Position Details
Location: New Orleans, LA
Compensation: $75K - $90K annually (based on experience) +
potential 10% annual bonus
Shift: Monday - Friday - General Office Hours (with some
flexibility to start early or stay late)
Travel: Local travel to customer sites in New Orleans.

Position Description
As an Instrumentation Controls Engineer, you will be responsible
for assisting in the repair, maintenance, and retrofit of all
instrumentation and controls which includes designing and
maintaining of systems for district energy plants producing hot
water, chilled water, and steam and its energy transfer stations.
You will also be responsible for process control instrumentation
maintenance and programming of the distributed control system and
its peripherals.
You will work extensively with Emerson DeltaV, Allen-Bradley PLCs
and other types of logic controllers. You will report directly to
the Director, Platform Instrumentation & Controls and will be a
critical member of the Company's Engineering & Construction
team.
Position Requirements
--- Ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in engineering and a
superior controls and instrumentation foundation.
--- Knowledge of PLC/HMI/SCADA/DCS hardware and software.
--- Knowledge of various instrumentation including flow,
temperature, pressure and valves.
--- Experience with development and integration of various
communication protocols such as CIP, Modbus RTU and Modbus
TCP/IP.
--- Ability to read and understand P&ID and PFD diagrams.
--- Ability to read and understand loop diagrams, electrical
schematics and one-line diagrams.
--- Must be able to perform work in a safe manner; overhead, climb
ladders, squat, bend, perform in a confined space, dusty and noisy
environment, work outdoors, plenum spaces, hot and cold
environments.
--- Must be able to program, troubleshoot, and maintain all
instruments and logic controllers which utilizes programming
languages: plain English structured text, sequential function
chart, function block diagram and ladder logic.
