certified. Quality Engineer II at Seemann Composites at Seemann
Composites support the quality direction of SCI and have the
latitude to work in resource focused groups and product teams. Our
Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), typically include Engineering,
Program Management, Quality, Logistics, and Production. Seemann
Composites has an opening for a Quality Engineer II at our facility
in Gulfport, MS. The work will include interfacing with other
engineers, and IPT members toward accomplishing the project
objectives. Typical duties of our Quality Engineers include
supporting multiple small to medium size projects on all quality
related deliverables, review engineering drawings, customer
procurement specifications, material and material testing
specifications, or other contractual requirements to develop
program quality plans, inspection procedures, or shop floor work
instructions to support program success. The Quality Engineers are
also responsible developing and submitting the product Objective
Quality Evidence package. Job Requirements: Assigned several
program quality responsibilities Develop Traceability Matrix,
Program Quality Plan, Inspection Plans, and Objective Evidence
packages Work with engineering counterpart in the development and
approval of Manufacturing Work Instructions (MIPs) Provide quality
input as needed on proposals, schedules, budgets and other
programmatic deliverables Working knowledge of Geometric
Dimensioning and Tolerancing Working knowledge and participate in
entire production process: drawing reviews, requirements matrixes,
tool design and verification, procurement, work instructions,
machining, inspections, objective quality evidence Interfaces with
customers, vendors and subcontractors. Lead Internal audits and
support third party Quality Management System audits and Source
Inspections Lead root cause, corrective and preventive action
investigations and follow up as required Evaluate quality control
processes and protocols recommending new or improved processes as
necessary Collaborate with various functions to assure compliance
and continuous improvement Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint) Bachelor of Science in Composites,
Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Chemical, Aerospace, or other
related engineering degree, such as Naval Architecture. A
combination of extensive work experience (3-6 Years) plus other
unrelated This position requires use of information which is
subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance Due
to the nature of our work, United States Citizenship is required
Desired Skills and Experience: Good Oral and written communication
skills Experience with reading and interpreting engineering
drawings, customer specifications and material requirements
Demonstrated experience in Quality Engineering and Quality
Management Systems Experience with SolidWorks 3D modeling and 2D
drawings Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 quality management
systems Experience with First Article Inspections Creation of work
instructions, procedures or technical writing Hands on fabrication
experience Experience with composite materials and fabrication of

Working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, you will be
walking, standing and engaging in movement throughout the day, and
occasionally to frequently be required to lift items weighing up to
50 lbs. Due to a large variety of job duties (both routine and
non-routine), certain duties also may involve, a variety of
physical activities including bending, stretching, lifting,
stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms above
shoulders and head, standing working in enclosed areas, climbing
stairs or ladders, and operating heavy equipment. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the
ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment
can vary but noise is usually low to moderate. You may be required
to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses,
safety gloves, hearing protection, a respirator or dust mask,
protective footwear and protective clothing or uniforms. Work may
be performed in cold and/or hot temperatures and the environment
can be dusty. Physical requirements further include the ability to
engage in productive collaborative communication with co-workers
and work may need to be performed during non-standard hours,
including nights and weekends. At times, the ability to work
overtime also may be required but it is not usual. Prior to
