Job Description Job Description Job Title: Electrical Test & Trials Worker Location:Pascagoula, MS Job Type:Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experiencedElectrical Test & Trials Workerto troubleshoot, test, andvalidateelectrical circuits and systems on vessels, including sea trials. The role ensures that all electrical systems meetcustomer requirementsandregulatory compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, experience with motor controls, and a minimum of4 years of marine electrical or plant electrician experience. Must-Have Qualifications Minimum4 years of electrical test and trials experience, preferably in the marine field Strong knowledge ofmotor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), transformers, relays, AC/DC voltage systems, and alarm/control circuits Proficiencyin reading and interpretingelectrical drawings and specifications Hands-on experience troubleshooting and rewiring: Motors and motor controllers Relay panels VFDs and transformers Alarm systems and float switches Control circuits (e-stops, TLIs) Skilled in usingmultimetersto measure volts, amps, resistance, and continuity Ability to performelectrical testing and sea trials Knowledge ofshipbuilding processes, regulatory standards, and safety protocols Preferred Qualifications Experience collaborating withmechanical Test & Trials teamson system integration Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communicationskills with customers, managers, and interdisciplinary teams Experience preparing test documentation and reports Willingness toparticipatein overtime work as needed Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive electrical testing, includingsea trials Diagnose, troubleshoot, and correct electrical circuit issues Rewire and troubleshoot motors, motor controllers, relay panels, VFDs, transformers, alarm systems, and control circuits Conduct testing usingprocess meters, simulators, and decade boxes Collaborate with mechanical Test & Trials personnel on system integration Document deficiencies and prepare regular and special test status reports Ensure adherence to all companysafety, environmental, and quality procedures Maintain punctual and regular attendance Physical and Environmental Requirements Ability to work inconfined spaces Capable of climbing and working at elevations over5 feet Must be able to wear and work with arespirator, whenrequired AI Screening Questions (6) How many years of experience do you have inelectricaltestand trials, preferably in the marine field? Do you have hands-on experience withmotor controls, VFDs, transformers, relays, and AC/DC voltage systems?
