As a Proposal Engineer , you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing company performance and our ability to serve customers by leading projects from opportunity identification through successful execution. You'll manage both field-based and shop-based projects, ensuring high-quality work, safety, and customer satisfaction while driving additional business opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate customer needs and develop competitive proposals for work opportunities in rotating equipment repair, maintenance, and related services. Oversee and support field/shop personnel during project execution at customer sites or in our facilities. Provide or secure technical expertise and oversight to maintain the highest standards of quality across all project participants. Coordinate procurement of materials, parts, and third-party services essential for successful project delivery. Facilitate clear, professional communication between Conhagen teams and customers, with thorough documentation. Support accurate and timely project billing processes. Act as a professional representative of Conhagen at all times, upholding our reputation for reliability and integrity. Collaborate with the sales team and customers to identify and secure additional work opportunities. Lead the development of new and extended-duration opportunities at customer locations. Develop creative, unique solutions tailored to customer challenges in rotating equipment and industrial applications. Mentor and support the technical development of skilled personnel in coordination with supervisors and management. Contribute to internal projects and initiatives under management direction to improve daily operations and overall efficiency. Qualifications: Proven experience in project management and proposal creation, preferably in industrial services, rotating equipment (pumps, turbines, compressors), field/shop repair, or related heavy industrial sectors. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to provide oversight and secure expertise as needed. Excellent coordination, communication, and documentation skills. Proficiency in procurement, vendor management, and billing support. Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build relationships and identify growth opportunities. Leadership experience in guiding teams and mentoring personnel. Willingness to travel to customer sites as required for field projects. Professional demeanor and commitment to safety and quality.
