Builds organizational strategies to elevate the importance of health equity efforts and develops processes that sustain these efforts. Develops community outreach activities and builds community-academic partnerships to achieve health equity initiatives in socially at-risk communities. Works closely with stakeholders and interacts with networks and organizations involved in and committed to health equity initiatives.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Contents are subject to change at the company's discretion.EducationRequired - Master's degree in business administration, health administration, management, public health, education or related field.Work ExperienceRequired - 5-years of experience with increasing responsibility in business administration, health administration, management, public health, process improvement, community relations or related field.Preferred - 5-years of experience in leadership in health equity, data science research, or healthcare delivery in underserved communities.Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of health equity policy and research.
  • Excellent leadership, motivational, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive professional demeanor and attitude and relate to and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization and/or community.
  • Strong business acumen, analytic and problem-solving skills, and ability to effectively complete policy review and research analysis.
  • Ability to direct projects and manage complex work and multiple tasks relative to the development and advancement of health equity.
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying audiences.
  • Knowledge of personnel management and budgetary processes.
  • Ability to prioritize and be self-directed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout state and region as necessary.Job Duties
    • Develops and leads multidisciplinary teams to meet or exceed strategic initiatives and health equity goals and manages and develops staff to ensure performance outcomes.
    • Develops and implements strategic plans to organize and manage the health equity initiatives and allocate resources and ensures efficient and effective coordination of health equity activities across all programs.
    • Leads efforts and provide direction in data collection, data reporting, and measurement of key performance indicators.
    • In partnership with health equity leadership, implements sustainable health equity strategies and programs to include development of innovative systems, methods, and practical interventions to promote health equity for socially at-risk populations.
    • Develops and conducts educational and informative meetings, webinars, training, mentorships and other formats of communication for diverse groups of researchers, health professionals, community members and partners to improve health equity and to advance understanding of health equity, health equity challenges, and how to incorporate this understanding into day-to-day operations.
    • Develops and implements plans that support a clear set of actionable and targeted change management strategies including, but not limited to employee, physician, clinical provider, partner and community stakeholder /alignment, communication, coaching, collaboration, training and education as part of the overall project plan for health equity.
    • Effectively develops and manages to financial targets and works with stakeholders to identify performance gaps and develop and implement corrective action plans.
    • Partners with community participants in applying strategies to address social, economic, and structural determinants of health.
    • Identifies and applies for opportunities for funding to support the health equity/programs.
