The Shore Excursion Manager oversees land operations and management of daily shore excursion activity, working closely with the shore excursion Operations Manager. This on-board vessel position is crucial in ensuring consistency and quality standards of excursions while offering exceptional customer service. This position will oversee daily land coordination and logistics of motorcoaches, guides, and vendors while following shore excursion department guidelines.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Operations and Administration, the Shore Excursion Manager oversees land operations and management of daily shore excursions working closely with the shore excursion Operations Manager. This on-board position is crucial in ensuring consistency and quality standards of excursions while offering exceptional customer service. This position will oversee daily land coordination and logistics of motorcoaches, guides, and vendors while following shore excursion department guidelines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage daily shore excursion operations and guest service
  • Provide logistical and operational support for cruise excursions daily
  • Directly manage logistics and all other shore excursion-related needs
  • Provide excellent guest relations and customer service
  • Duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Daily reporting
    • Daily Office Hours
    • Daily operations communication with shore excursion Operations Manager
    • Daily communication with drivers, guides, and vendors
    • Guest presentations
    • Organizing and executing operational functions as needed
    • Proprietary software management including entering tour and guest information, ticketing, and daily reporting.
    • Decision making authorization based on set guidelines
    • Preparation of Turnover Notes
    • Other duties as may be assigned.
      Education

      REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
      • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
      • Associates or Bachelors Degree Desired
        Skills & Abilities
        • Strong logistic and planning skills
        • Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
        • Strong organizational skills
        • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
        • Friendly personality; excellent interpersonal skills
        • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels in a pleasant and professional manner in a diverse work environment
        • Must maintain a clean, neat and professional appearance at all times
          Experience
          • Cruise Industry and/or other Travel/Tourism/Hospitality experience strongly preferred
          • Experience in a related operations role
          • Experience in related guest service / guest experience role
            Other
            • Position will require regular travel
            • Position is an onboard vessel-based position
            • Must be at least 21 years of age
            • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) - if applicable, and/or ability to obtain and maintain
            • Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident/incident testing
