Director Application Operations and Development VP
Technology/Infrastructure Location: New Orleans, LA Summary The
Directorof Application Operations and Development will act as the
operational lead for enterpriseinformation systems that may include
ERP, student information systems, researchsystems, customer
relationship management systems, reporting platforms,
datawarehousing, content management, and workflow automation.
Overseeing end-to-endintegration of software components to support
the effective and efficientdelivery of services across the
organization. Leading the development andimplementation of standard
operating procedures and policies with an emphasison maintaining
and ensuring operation continuity and security of
informationassets. Overseeing project communications and
supervising staff. Deliveringprojects that meet the requirements
outlined in business cases and meetsreasonable expectations.
Recommending changes to existing products or servicesto better aide
the end user. Effectively managing vendors for all support
andtroubleshooting efforts related to core enterprise applications.
Works directlywith vendors on equipment and software purchases, as
well as support andmaintain contracts. Developing and implementing
IT processes in asset management,change management, incident
management, and configuration management. This rolehas the capacity
to sit fully remote, with travel to New Orleans, LA once aquarter
minimally. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Passion for strong service commitment and delivery. -
- Demonstrated leadership, diplomacy and relationship building
skills. -
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, and
presentation skills. -
- Proven problem-solving, mediation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong overall technology foundation and understanding of the
evolving landscape. -
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
demonstrated ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple
projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines. Required
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science,Management
Information Systems or similar and 5+ years' progressive
experiencein similar position. -
- Experience in leading large Enterprise Systemssuch as
Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) or Student
InformationSystems (SIS). Preferred Qualifications
- ITSM/ITIL experience -
- Prior experience in Higher Education Compensation Information
This position is a exempt, salaried position assigned to pay grade
