Job Description:

Provide leadership and coordination of sales, marketing and pricing activities. Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy consistent with the Company’s overall strategy and objectives. Strategic partnership with President and Vice President of Finance. Directing sales and marketing functions are primary responsibilities, along with the ability for analytical activities and projects. Need to have detail knowledge of the customer base, their transportation needs and overall market conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES ; Direct and coordinate company sales and marketing functions. Develop competitive pricing analysis to establish rates that meet revenue and contribution objective. Direct and oversee the company marketing functions to identify and develop new customers for products and services. Negotiate rates with key customers and revenue divisions with connecting carriers Generate and Negotiate long –term volume commitment agreements with existing and potential customers Supervise the pricing and publishing process to assure all pricing is timely, accurate and valid Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development. Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets. Plan and coordinate public affairs, and communications efforts, to include public relations and community outreach. Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts Participate in the development of new project proposals. Establish, implement and report on short- and long-range goals, objectives and performance Supervise the planning and development of company marketing materials. Represent and promote the company at various community and/or business meetings Promote positive relations with partners, customers, interchanging carriers, and vendors Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance performance Prepare annual revenue budgets and project proposals, analyze variances and manage costs. Other duties as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE : 10 years of Sales and or Marketing experience in the rail industry Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations. Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts. Working Knowledge of US /Mexico trade Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS : Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree in Marketing preferred Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
