JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSSummary of the Job:Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians and Unit Clerks.Minimum Qualifications: Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program. Current LA RN License and BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required. Ability to meet weekend and holiday requirements required.Preferred Qualifications: ACLS is preferred within 6 months of hire. Med/Surg experience preferred. Critical Care experience preferred.Physical Demands:Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
