  Oncology Nurse Navigators are -in a unique position to make a difference. -Using the nursing process, the Navigator provides education and resources to facilitate informed decision making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of the cancer continuum. -

  • The Tulane Head and Neck Oncology Program offers comprehensive, specialized care for patients with benign and malignant tumors located between the brain and the clavicle, anterior to the spine, including tumors of the parotid, pharynx, larynx, jaw, tongue, thyroid and carotids (neck vessels)
    
    
    Responsibilities:
    
    Under the general direction of the Director, Manager or Nurse Manager, - Registered Nurse -(RN) coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. -

    Qualifications
    • 
      
    • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing - - - -
      
    • Current Louisiana or Compact license required
      
    • Bachelors of Nursing degree required
      
    • BLS certification required at hire and maintained
      
    • Prior experience in an Oncology setting is preferred
      ONS & OCN Certification preferred
