• Patientsafety and satisfaction are our number one priority Responsibilities: The Perioperative Educator for Surgical Services coordinatesand implements the educational activities for Surgical Services in conjunctionwith the Surgical Services leadership team. He/she is responsible for professional nursing care and relatedassistance to patients with a broad range of illnesses. The Educator is involved indirect and indirect patient care. The Educator provideseducation direction to, RNs, Surgical Technicians, Patient Care Technicians,Attendants, and other non-licensed nursing personnel in providing directpatient care. The Educator supports the medical care ofpatients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives ofthe hospital, in collaboration with other health team members, follows thephilosophy, policies and goals of the facility and department.Qualifications What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Current RN License
  • BSN; Agreement to seek masters prepared degree in related field within two years of hire. Preferred MSN; minimum of two years of Surgical Services Educator experience and five years of perioperative experience.
  • One (1) year previous management experience in clinical specialty preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support, ACLS or required to complete within 6 months of hire.
