Infusion nurses are experts at providing compassionate care and
support to patients that have cancer. They monitor patients after
surgery, administer chemotherapy, and help patients to access
resources needed to ease their journey. They work in a variety of
settings - including hospitals, clinics, and transplant units.

general direction of the Director, Manager or Nurse Manager,
Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and provides patient care and
assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the
provision of nursing care. What Qualifications You Will Need:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing Current BLS, Active
ONS & OCN preferred; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
Education: Bachelors of Science degree preferred Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience in area of expertise
with demonstrated unit leadership ability. Special qualifications:
Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for
the position within designated probationary period. Effective
communication skills; both orally and written. Computer skills
required. Ability to manage a team and work with others to ensure
quality patient care. Strong problem solving skills. Ability to
solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, and diagram or schedule form. With 235+ beds, Tulane
