Northlake Behavioral Health System - Position Summary:The outpatient nurse is responsible for the overall care of patients seeking treatment in IOP. The nurse is responsible for comprehensive overall Nursing care activities and provides psychiatric nursing needs to the patients. Some essential functions are:
Essential Functions:

• 
  
• Assess patient needs, plans and implements patient care activities and evaluates the patient's response to treatment.
  
• Acts within the therapeutic milieu and directs the delivery of nursing care by other members of the treatment team as needed
  
• Provide psychological assessments and evaluations, manage complex medical and behavioral treatment regimens.
  
• Collaborates with MD for admission of patients into IOP program.
  
• Coordinates with MD to call in patient medications to pharmacies as prescribed by IOP prescribers.
  
• Reconciles medications with all providers providing patient medications.
  
• Completes nursing and other salient assessments on all IOP patients.
  
• Facilitates and coordinates insurance reviews to ensure
