Participation in community activities with particular reference to terminal care. Develop publicity opportunities and special events in support of Hospice. Develop materials for marketing and public education of Hospice. Establish marketing efforts for the purpose of educating the health care community about the hospice program.Identify and plan for contracts with hospitals, nursing homes, physician's offices, home health agencies, and other health care provides.Establish an ongoing community relations program and establish ongoing relationships with media in order to keep the public aware of hospice and its services.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum three (3) years experience in public relations, sales and marketing.Must have excellent verbal communication skills, and adaptability.Must be self-motivated, organized, relationship builders, and responsible.High school diplomaPossess excellent verbal and written skillsOTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Create and maintain a master working list of all New Orleans area market Notre Dame Hospice referral sourcesMake consistent and frequent visits to all listed referral sources and/or their staff to create and/or maintain positive relationships.Assess satisfaction with past and/or current referrals including referral process, communication with Notre Dame Hospice staff and overall experience.Educate referral sources during each visit (hold calls, scheduled appointments, lunch-in-services, after-hour events, etc.) regarding services offered by Notre Dame Hospice Acknowledge receipt of and provide updates on new referrals to referral sources.Address/follow/resolve any complaints from referral sources. Create and maintain the following:Account DevelopmentPatient RelationsStaff RelationsPublic RelationsAdvertisingAdvertising Assist DOM with the process (ideas, design, vendor selection, etc.) of streamlining all printed literature as needed. Assist DOM with website redesign and maintenance as needed. Assist DOM with maintaining the Notre Dame Hospice Facebook page with at least one posts per week.Assist DOM with development and implementation of other forms of advertising (print, TV, radio, additional social media forums, etc.).Assist DOM with scheduling appearances on radio and other local media outlets to promote Notre Dame Hospice.Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment.Maintains a neat, well-groomed appearance at all times.
