job provides administrative/clinical support to facilitate the
delivery of patient care based on the nursing process. Assists in
the monitoring of quality care by ensuring the efficient use of

diploma.Preferred - -Associate's or bachelor's degree in
nursing.Work ExperienceRequired - -3 of years acute care
experience.Preferred - Critical care or charge nurse
experience.CertificationsRequired - Current RN License in the state
of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart
Association.Preferred - ACLS and CCRN.Knowledge Skills and
Abilities (KSAs)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry
and retrieval of patient information. Must be proficient with
Windows-style applications and keyboard.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the
ability to present information clearly and professionally to
varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care
process.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to move throughout the department, the hospital, and
between off-campus sites.Job Duties
- Serves as a resource to the nursing staff in the delivery of
patient care.
- Rounds frequently throughout the shift identifying issues that
need administrative action and communication forward to appropriate
level.
- Supervises and leads staff effectively.
- Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational,
safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients
served in assigned area.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including
but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to
the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be
performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
