Job Description:
Location: Shreveport, Louisiana is the third-largest city in the
state of Louisiana, located in the northwestern corner of the state
near the borders of Texas and Arkansas. It serves as a major
cultural and economic hub for the region. This opportunity is
available in other parts of the state as well. Facility: Center
offering confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their
families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Opportunity: Need is
on a PRN basis, ongoing Must be Board Certified in any of the
following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R Exams are
primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of
motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain
injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain
Injury. No prescribing, no treatment DMA certification available
(can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not
already certified Use of Goniometer required Familiar with
Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required Proficient in METs
testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and
neurological conditions. Evaluations to be completed in provider
portal and records are reviewed. Follow up administrative work will
be required on a regular basis No weekends or call! Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice
included.
