Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position caring for both pediatric and adult patients, requiring a LA or compact RN license and comfort working with peds. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the PACU unit of a hospital supporting all major surgical services except critical care - Care for both pre-op and Phase I/II recovery patients across pediatric and adult populations - Department provides pre/post-op care across 34 ORs on two floors with a high pediatric volume on the first floor - Special procedures include regional anesthesia and ECT - Utilizes equipment such as Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Accuvein - Patient ratio is 1:2 - Day shift schedule (3x12 hours) from 7:00 to 19:30 - Requires 2-3 scheduled weekends per contract - Epic EMR experience required - Nurses will provide care for patients of all ages throughout surgical recovery phases - May be assigned to an Emergency Team in the event of a facility emergency, requiring on-site presence until the event passes or as part of a relief team - Scheduled weekend and holiday coverage required - Any requested time off must be included at the time of interview /n /n Requirements/n - Active LA or compact RN license required - Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA only) - PACU or Pre/Post Op experience preferred - Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients - Epic charting experience required - Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility; local travelers not accepted /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-657909.
