TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in New Orleans, Louisiana, 70121! Registered
Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care
Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day, 3x12-Hour Hours per
Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years in PACU or Pre/Post
Operative Care License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS
Must-Have: - Candidates should have experience working with
pediatric patients. - Epic experience is required. Description:
This position supports patients recovering from major surgical
services. The unit caters to all surgical/procedural populations,
excluding those requiring critical care services. Candidates will
care for patients in pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II recovery
across multiple age groups. The department provides
pre/post-operative care in a total of 34 operating rooms across two
floors. The surgical area includes several operating rooms,
cystoscopy suites, and dedicated pediatric facilities. The
department has a high volume of pediatric patients while also
serving adults. Candidates should be prepared to care for patients
across all ages. The unit employs special equipment including Hoyer
lifts, bladder scanners, and vein finders. Ideal candidates must be
comfortable with managing multiple tasks and working in a
fast-paced environment. Scheduled weekends are required as per the
contract. Patient ratios may range from 1:2 to 1:3 depending on the
workload. Emergency event response may be part of the job
