Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana, 70809! Job Title: LDRP Registered Nurse Profession:
Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience:
3 years minimum License: Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN
Advanced, FHM, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate
Must-Have: Travel experience required NRP certification required
Description: We are seeking an experienced LDRP Registered Nurse
for a night shift position. Candidates must have at least 3 years
of experience in Labor and Delivery. Travel experience is required
for this position. NRP certification is mandatory. Charge
experience is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable with a
patient ratio of 2:1. Experience with the Community charting system
is required. Previous labor and delivery unit experience with a
facility birth rate of 200-300 is ideal. The role involves caring
for neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Daily
census ranges from 3 to 5 patients with a total of 10 beds in the
unit. Nursing staff may assist in various procedures including
C-sections, epidurals, and neonatal assessments. Responsibilities
also include postpartum care and newborn diagnostics. Candidates
should be proficient in both high-risk and low-risk delivery
management. Knowledge of medications such as magnesium sulfate and
insulin drips is necessary. Successful candidates will demonstrate
strong communication skills and the ability to work within an
interdisciplinary team. A commitment to couplet care and
breastfeeding support is essential. Additionally, knowledge of
infection prevention and patient safety protocols is critical.
