The Kidney Transplant
Coordinator?educates patients and families about the
transplantprocess, evaluation, waiting phases, and long-term
follow-up and care; responds to the psychosocial needs of the
transplant patient and family during allphases.?The Kidney
Transplant Coordinator is responsible for assessing and evaluating
patient needs, providing specialized teaching for patients and
families and follow up care on the assigned patient population.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications ? A.???????? Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current Louisiana RN license and CPR Certification.B.????????
Education: Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.C.????????
Experience: Previous experience in clinical area of assignment
preferred.D.???????? Special qualifications: Must be able to
successfully complete established competencies for the position
within designated probationary period.? Demonstrated patient
teaching skills and compliance with protocol management of
patients.E.???????? Hours of work:? Shift as scheduled.
