Our popular restaurant & bar seeks a skilled food & beverage leader who can supervise all aspects of our food & beverage department as well as ensure health and safety requirements are followed. Our ideal candidate is not only responsible for the food but is a creative leader capable of hiring and developing exceptional talent, curating menus, maintaining inventory and budget. Previous experience as a chef or a sous chef is highly desirable as you may have to jump on the line and cook if needed. This position is eligible for a new hire bonus of $500 paid out after completion of 120 days with no attendance issues or demerits.

Responsibilities:

Manage controllable department expenses such as food, supplies, uniforms, equipment, and collaborate with vendors to achieve the highest quality products at the most reasonable price
Teach recruits and hire staff that suit the business culture to provide a welcoming atmosphere for kitchen employees
Exceed guest expectations while increasing sales and profits and overseeing the success of day-to-day operations of the restaurant kitchen
Review and track team member performance objectives, as well as offer guidance and assistance to support and promote an efficient kitchen
Incorporate different ingredients in a creative way to produce fresh and innovative menu items and specials


Qualifications:

Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification such as a GED
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers
Understanding and compliance with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage
Outstanding management abilities, as well as experience leading, inspiring, and building a team
