*About us*


*Syzygy is currently hiring full time shift managers. We have 3 shifts available; Day Shift (6am - 2pm), Evening Shift (2pm - 10pm), and Overnight Shift (10pm - 6am). Convenience store experience is welcomed but not required.*


We are seeking hard working, friendly individuals to fill the position of shift manager. Successful candidates must possess excellent customer service skills and will be detail oriented, accurate, dependable, and able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.


*Responsibilities and Duties:*


* Coordinate with the Store Manager regarding overall department operations

* Conduct new hire onboarding training for cashiers/clerks and lead continuing education sessions

* Conduct weekly meetings with cashiers/clerks to derive upcoming shift schedules

* Manage staff and schedules to maintain store stocking levels, appropriate product rotation, and plan and organize merchandise to assist store manager with organizing inventory purchases

* Maintain the physical appearance of the store, cleaning countertops; sweeping and dusting; cleaning up spills, disposing of trash, ensuring parking lot, entries and restrooms are clean and appealing

* Keep merchandise/products current, stocked, faced, dusted/cleaned and properly priced at all times

* Perform other tasks as assigned by store manager or owner

* Process payments, purchases, returns, and exchanges according to store policy

* Maintain a neat, clean, personal appearance at all times

* Know and follow company policy and procedures


*Required Skills/Abilities:*


* Must maintain a fair and consistent set of standards that applies to all employees

* Ability to operate available equipment, such as: computers, cash registers, scanners, beverage machines, etc

* Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, in order to make change, give refunds accurately and to balance tills daily

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

* Communicate professionally via phone, email, and in-person with customers, staff, and vendors

* Become knowledgeable about company's products and services, to make proper recommendations of products and services sold

* Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with management, employees, office staff, vendors, and customers in a friendly, open, and approachable manner


*Physical Requirements:*


* Prolonged periods of standing and walking

* Bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling required frequently to rearrange merchandise and verify stock levels.

* May be able to lift up to 30 lbs frequently

* May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour


Shift:

* 8 hour shift

* Day shift

* Evening shift

* Overnight shift

Weekly day range:

* Monday to Friday

* Weekend availability




Education:

* High school or equivalent (Preferred)


Experience:

* Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
