JOB SUMMARY: Harrah's New Orleans is looking for an experienced recruiter who can work independently throughout the recruiting process and fill positions with high quality candidates within aggressive time constraints. This individual must be a creative, high energy, hands on professional who can successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Create an exceptional candidate recruiting experience Own all phases of the recruiting process for assigned positions, including, search intake, writing job descriptions, directing search strategy, research and identification of both active and passive candidates, screening and assessment of candidates, interviewing and making job offers to those candidates. Act as front desk representative and ensures coverage of HR Front Desk at all time Provide excellent friendly & helpful service to internal and external customers by responding and providing assistance to inquiries, requests, and questions Process new and renewal and key gaming licenses. Review and evaluate applicant qualifications or eligibility for specified gaming licensing, according to established LSP guidelines Input of Personnel Administration data for new hires, transfers, promotions, address changes, and other status changes. Assist applicants logging into our web-site and inform applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, and job or career opportunities in organizations. Assist with conducting I-9 audits, complete forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files Create captivating job descriptions to attract desired candidate pool Partner with department and leadership to define roles, source candidates, manage and execute the hiring process Increase efficiency and reduce cycle time by guiding Hiring Managers on recruiting process and best practices Coach Hiring Leaders when the appropriate actions are not taken Train the Hiring Leaders to ensure compliance with company policy, local, and federal legislation Coordinate with leaders during meetings prior to posting to attract the appropriate candidate pool Define and develop effective recruiting strategies based on business needs Proactively identify candidates by preparing job board postings, community and social outreach to target potential candidates for open position Drive the hiring process and provide regular feedback to Hiring Manager on status of recruiting activity and challenges Partner with Leaders and Employee Relations to drive process improvements to achieve overall business objectives by identify opportunities to meet metrics Communicate the available talents to Hiring Manager and make recommendations on staffing plans to efficiently fill staffing needs to ensure operational success Manage time effectively and accurately schedule interviews, follow-up, and complete other administrative duties Plan and execute recruiting projects across the Harrah's New Orleans property Develop excellent and productive relationships with all the stakeholders required to build a world-class recruiting operation Implement recruiting processes that align with our evolving needs - this will require gaining active buy-in and involvement from key stakeholders throughout the Harrah's property Actively develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates Create and maintains internal and external talent pool and succession planning programs Embrace latest online recruiting sources and methodologies to attract top notch talents Screen and assess candidates to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about their past organizations and positions Maintain applicant records using Oracle and Taleo System Develop and maintain contact with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants Ensure applicant tracking, compliance, required forms, conflict of interest documentation, and approvals are uploaded into applicant tracking system Provides assistance to other HR functions as required. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred At least 2 years of recruiting experience preferred Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches/positions in a fast paced, high volume environment Experience in hospitality, retail, entertainment or other service business is preferred Experience providing exceptional customer service internally and externally Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, the Internet and computer aptitude Demonstrated experience in developing robust talent pools to include diverse candidates Knowledge of applicable HR related federal regulations including EEO Experience with social media tools for candidate outreach and recruiting Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays and on call. PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area. Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine and photocopier. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
