SUMMARY:City Park is seeking a customer-focused Senior Human Resources (HR) Professional who can drive a top-notch hiring experience for both candidates and hiring managers. As the Sr. HR Generalist, you will play a key role in developing the Park's recruiting /talent acquisition strategy, assist with policy and procedure development, and assigned projects. The successful candidate will be a proactive, enjoys building relationships and cultivating a positive and diverse workforce.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:

  • Responsible for the full life cycle of recruitment efforts; Implement recruitment & retention strategies that results in a robust and diverse applicant pool for all openings; Monitor recruiting trends and best practices in the parks and recreation industry; and assist with conducting pre-screen interviews ensuring excellent candidates are forwarded to the hiring managers.
  • Present an engaging applicant experience throughout the interview life cycle ensuring City Park's initiatives, values, and culture are shared with potential candidates.
  • Ensure recruitment consistency across departments and appropriate communication with fiscal staff.
  • Responsible for the College Recruiting program; including advertising, attendance at conferences, community, and university fairs.
  • Ensure our HRIS Tracking System has data integrity - including job postings and requisition management.
  • Interpret company policies, processes, and procedures to respond to employee needs at all levels.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, and continuing education.
  • Ensure the candidate selection process meet all legal, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week to perform essential duties of the job when needed. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
    • 5 + years of Human Resource Generalist experience
    • BS Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
    • Knowledgeable in local, state, and regulatory guidelines.
    • Skilled in coaching and mentoring hiring managers and maintaining a strong working relationship.
    • Excellent interviewing skills, ability to connect with candidates, and effectively assess talent.
    • Highly Proficient with Excel and other productivity tools
    • Strong customer focus, attention to detail and organization skills
    • Excellent communication and professional writing skills
    • Strong commitment to continuous improvement.
    • Demonstrated experience with ATS and HRIS systems.
    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the public.
    • Must be a self-starter and take initiative on identifying and following through on projects as needed.
    • Must possess high level of flexibility and resourcefulness.
    • City Park requires COVID-19 vaccination or routine testing
