Associate General Counsel for Labor and EmploymentOffice Of The
General CounselLocation: New Orleans, LASummaryThe Associate
General Counsel for Labor and Employment will work with the Deputy
General Counsel to assist in a variety of areas including labor
(NLRA/LMRA, collective bargaining, unfair labor practice issues,
union elections, etc.) and employment (civil rights laws, ADA,
FLSA,, FMLA, OSHA, EEOC, workers compensation, employment policies,
employment agreements and appointments, etc.), Title IX,
administrative investigative matters regarding the United States
Department of Education and Office of Civil Rights, student and
academic affairs (student disciplinary process, policies, process,
compliance etc.); NCAA compliance; law enforcement and Clery Act
compliance, transactional, and a variety of related litigation
matters. The candidate will conduct research, render advice,
represent the Universitys interest before administrative agencies,
and work with outside counsel. Works closely with the Universitys
senior administration, faculty and staff. Required Qualifications
J.D. Degree from an accredited law school. Current license to
practice law in Louisiana. Licensed in good standing without any
instances of suspension, revocation, censure or other adverse
events in any jurisdiction. Minimum seven (7) years experience as a
labor and employment attorney.Preferred Qualificationsby Jobble
