Job DescriptionCACI is pursuing the prime contract for a large-scale integration and development transformation program that will offer significant growth opportunity for candidates. This position will be a unique and exciting career opportunity that will involve the integration, development, and deployment of enterprise wide systems involving COTS ERP, SaaS solutions, mobile solutions, and enterprise data analytics in a state-of-the-art Agile development environment. The transformation and integration of over 50 legacy systems to ERP and SaaS solutions will be a monumental technical experience for this position. However, the MPT&E enterprise---s organization, processes, and infrastructure are complex, outdated, and inefficient. Over the next several years, the MPT&E enterprise will transform how Human Resources (HR) services are offered through a holistic, end-to-end effort that will directly impact the entire Navy ---Hire-to-Retire--- (H2R) lifecycle. Toward this end, MPT&E will employ services to integrate disparate platforms used for MPT&E mission functions, existing or evolving systems, infrastructure, mission capabilities, data analytics, and programs to build an interoperable and scalable network of capabilities in support of the Sailors--- MPT&E needs. --The Navy's MPT&E enterprise must evolve to meet the needs of the Fleet and our Sailors. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse team is crucial. --You should have worked with or have a strong interest in agile software development practices and delivering deployable software in short sprints.The Application Programmer will be a part of the Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education (MPT&E) enterprise team.-- Application programmer will be assigned to Development and Integration Scrum teams.-- Will be responsible for incorporating MPT&E business requirements into solutions delivered by Agile scrum teams. Delivers solutions per sprint priorities as per the ongoing business case analysis and decision analytics. Work will be executed in an Agile development environment, with business analysts teaming with application developers, testers and training resources to develop and deliver and support quarterly releases of new business process and application functionality across a 5-year program lifecycle.Responsibilities:Serves as an Agile Scrum team member providing software development and maintenance services for the delivery of releasable software. Responsible for activities associated with delivery of software solutions associated with customer-defined systems and software projects. Basic responsibilities include:Designing, developing and implementing custom software and database application capabilities for a variety of legacy and modernized systems.Supporting release planning with conceptual design and development / refinement of software engineering guidelines.Analyzing project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components.Ensuring product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reports.Proposing/Documenting technical design document include report layouts, reporting dimensions, and mapping data as required to the business specifications while working with a business analyst.Communicating with multiple teams to ensure requirements are clear and understood from both a functional and technical perspective.Communicating within the development team to ensure process, definitions, metrics, and metadata are used consistently, and all relevant documentation is updated and available for all team members.Facilitating User Acceptance test and training sessions with the assistance of Business Analysts and other scrum team members.Required Skills:Professional Experience: 2+ years related technical experience.--College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degreeExperience with Java/J2EE; Familiarity with any of the following: MVC, Entity Framework (or other ORM), JavaScript, XML, JSON, Web API, and PowerShellExperience with continuous integration tools and environments.Experience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows (Git preferred)Basic understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release managementStrong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manualsUS Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearanceDesired Skills:Knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft, Salesforce, and ServiceNow platformsExperience developing content with Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK)Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.Additionally, familiarity with any of the following is highly desirable: HTML, Angular.js, VMware, information exchanges (ETL, ESB), message queuing, application security, automated testing, UML, or Sparx Enterprise Architect.Technical Certifications, such as MCSD; MCPD; CSM; CSD; OCJD; SCJD; SAFeDOD 8570 cybersecurity certification.Job LocationUS-Arlington-VA-MEMPHIS--CACI employs a diverse range of talent to create an environment that fuels innovation and fosters continuous improvement and success.
