Software DeveloperTemporaryNew Orleans, LA, USRequisition ID: 1629Our company is seeking to hire a skilled software developer to help with the development of our current projects. Your duties will primarily revolve around building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in directing system testing and validation procedures, and also working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.This position is a temporary position and the project will last six(6) months. Job Responsibilities:

• Overhauling internal and external websites utilizing the latest web technologies and design philosophies
• Conducting independent analysis of business and technical issues and recommend alternative solutions, including development effort estimates
• Working to define and document system requirements, report progress and status, develop and coordinate system testing, assist with training, and develop user documentation
• Working on multiple projects simultaneously with diverse groups of personnel
• All other duties as assigned.Essential Skills/Knowledge/Certification:
  • Required Experience
  • Website design and development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Understanding of website accessibility guidelines for ADA and WCAG
  • WordPress 5.9 or greater administration, design, and development experience
  • Gutenberg block editor proficiency
  • WordPress custom post type implementation
  • WordPress plugin administration and troubleshooting
  • WordPress specific PHP development / understanding
  • General database and SQL experience using MySQL or MariaDB
  • General understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps
  • Optional Experience
  • WordPress custom theme design and development
  • WordPress plugin development
  • Gutenberg block development using PHP and React
  • WordPress and 3rd Party REST API communication
  • Nginx web server administration and implementation
  • Docker container development and administration
  • Microsoft Azure application hosting administration
  • Microsoft ASP.NET, MVC, and classic ASP experience Education:
