The Welcome Back Returnship Program:
Life happens, and sometimes we must make tough decisions. Many
talented individuals consciously step away from their careers for
reasons that may include starting or raising a family, caring for a
family member, military service, or something else. Chevron's
Welcome Back Program is designed to support and develop experienced
professionals when they make that next decision: to re-enter the
workforce following a career hiatus.
Welcome Back is a 12-week program with integrated learning that
includes supervisor and mentor support, experiential learning,
career support, and formal training as needed. Successful
participants may be offered full-time employment at the end of
their returnship.
Chevron offers a 9/80 work schedule and a hybrid work model;
specific days in the office are flexible based on job
requirements.
Returners who convert to full time hires at the end of their

Job Description:
We seek passionate individuals who exemplify high performing
behaviors and share our vision of bringing Agile/Scrum and the
power of new ways of working and solutions to IT and internal
business partners. The Scrum Master facilitates and champions the
agile software development process by coaching and mentoring
development teams, identifying and eliminating impediments, and
promoting the use of established standards and novel practices.
Scrum Master is a servant leader of the team and coaches the team
on self-organization.
Responsibilities:
+ Facilitate and champion the agile methodology by coaching and
mentoring development teams and promoting the use of standards and
best practices.
+ Coach the team to improve collaboration and self-management,
promoting healthy interactions both within the team and with
external stakeholders.
+ Facilitates the identification and removal of impediments to the
team's progress and focus on eliminating waste and delays.
+ As a servant leader, promotes adoption of an agile mindset
through teaching, mentoring, and coaching.
+ Ensures the team is utilizing Scrum/SAFe ceremonies effectively
to maximize value delivery and facilitates Scrum ceremonies.
+ Represent the team at broader planning and coordination sessions
(e.g., Scrum of Scrums).
+ Actively participate in learning opportunities such as
communities of practice or conferences to improve skills and better
support the team.
+ Contribute to the advancement and improvement of agile practices
within the organization.
Responsibilities:
+ Facilitate the ART events and processes and assist teams in
delivering value.
+ Summarize PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and
transparency.
+ Assist in tracking the execution of features and capabilities and
improve the flow of value
+ Provide coaching, guidance and coordination with other RTE's
working within the same platform
+ Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage
risk, and drive relentless improvement
+ Able to think strategically about how to deliver business value
across the overall platform
+ Able to create and maintain dashboards and queries that makes
information visible for decision making
Required Qualifications:
+ Currently on a career break of 18 months or longer - (MUST)
+ Bachelor's degree in an IT or business-related discipline
+ Strong facilitation, and stakeholder engagement experience
+ Ability to coach and guide other Scrum Masters working within the
platform
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's degree preferred
+ Scrum Master certification(s)
+ SAFe certification(s)
+ Experience managing Sprint and/or Kanban boards using Azure
DevOps or similar work management tool
+ Previous experience with ADO, risk management, and dependency
management
+ Understanding of incremental delivery/release management and
knowledge of multiple business domains
Relocation Options:
Relocation will not be considered.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered. Chevron regrets that
