Position Overview The firm is seeking an Associate with 1-5 years of litigation experience to support a broad litigation practice. This role offers exposure to significant cases involving general liability, commercial disputes, energy-related matters, transportation, and medical malpractice defense (experience helpful but not required). The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow within a highly reputable practice. Key Responsibilities Draft and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery. Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy and trial preparation. Handle depositions, hearings, and other litigation tasks as skills develop. Work collaboratively with attorneys across multiple practice areas and office locations. Communicate professionally with clients, experts, and opposing counsel. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials. 1-5 years of litigation experience. Medical malpractice defense experience is a plus, but not required. Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work. Admission to the Louisiana Bar (or ability to obtain promptly).
