: Ensures the financial and clinical success of the
cardiovascular service line. Develops and Implments programs to
ensure quality and evidenced practcies within the cardiology
service line. Collaborates with Senior leadership and Medical
Director of Cardiology to develop Cardiology strategic business
plans This role also will lead Touro Infirmary Intitiaves as the
Magnet Program leader.
The Magnet Program Director (MPD) functions in the role of
administartive leader to promote, develop, and assist with
fostering innovation and excellence in nursing practice throughout
the organization. Responsibilities will include oversight and
coordination of the Magnet Program, assuring that Magnet is
hardwired into the organization through coordination, education and
leadership consultation. The MPD maintains hospital-wide
responsibility for coordinating all aspects of special projects for
patient care services and ensures assigned projects are deployed
and hardwired across the organization. The coordinator is
responsible for providing education that is consistent with Touro
Infirmary and LCMC policies, procedures, and standards of practice
as it relates to new process implementation. The MPD will ensure
the organization remains compliant with all required elements to
obtain and maintain the American Nurses
Credentialing Center's ANCC Magnet Recognition designation.
Manages data collection related to the nursing dashboards;
manages all NDNQI clinical data collection including the annual
nursing satisfaction survey; and other data as needed. Critically
analyzes the care delivered in identified areas and seeks ways to
improve outcomes and standards of care.

Description Minimum Required Preferred / Desired
Five (5) years nursing experience required with experience in
developing, implementing, and evaluating new programs/processes
Previous experience in Magnet accredited organization or
experience in Magnet accreditation process highly desirable.
Knowledge of Data Base management including NDNQI
Master's Degree or obtain Master's Degree within 2 years. Must
have a professional degree in nursing - Bachelors or Masters
DNS/DNP/PhD in Nursing
Three (3) years Clinical experience, Clinical Data Analytics,
Project Management or Training required.
Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana Registered Nurse
