Position Summary: Full-time faculty member in Mass Communication
with a strong broadcast background to start in fall 2022
Responsibilities/Accountability: Acceptance of Mission: Dillard

you---re agreeing to adhere to the Mission and Values of Dillard
and the responsibilities set forth. Teach nine hours of mass
communication courses each semester plus twenty-five percent (25%)
release time to advise WDUB online radio each semester; prepare
assessments; conduct curriculum review and implementation; advise
students; engage in research and publication; participate in
program development; and participate in service activities at all
levels of the University. This is a nine-month non-tenure-track
position. QUALIFICATIONS: Required We seek a distinguished
broadcast media practitioner with a minimum of an undergraduate
degree and extensive broadcast experience and recognition/award for
consideration for the professional-in-residence position. An earned
doctorate degree (or ABD) in mass communication from an accredited
institution will be considered for a tenure-track position as an
assistant or associate professor. Seven (7) years--- minimum
professional experience in broadcast journalism with documented
advancement in the field. A portfolio of professional broadcast
work is required. A commitment to teaching excellence and a
demonstrated quality teaching ability. Ability to teach broadcast
news and radio courses. PREFERRED: Demonstrated willingness to
interact effectively with alumni, faculty, staff, and students.
Work Conditions May require long hours sitting in front of a
computer, walking across campus, and/or bending, stooping and
