Job Description:

Looking for General Laborers for a lumber yard in the Belle Chasse area. General cleanup and keeping the lumber yard clear of debris. Hours are 5:30a-5p Mon- Fri. If you want to work Sat that is an option. Anything over 40 hours is time and a half.

Job Requirements:
Maintaining housekeeping standards in shop
Administer the shop safety program
Direct all activities of shop personnel
Train other shop mechanics and welders
Provide internal department training for shop planners
Managing the shop personnel time off requests
Create shop workloads utilizing industry specific software
Determining the shop fabrication status, schedule and shop needs and or concerns for regular meetings
Assist the shop when required with production support
Maintaining and controlling shop parts and tool inventory
Maintain shop and machine PM schedule
Oversee daily operations of the machine shop by planning, coordinating and directing activities of machine shop personnel
Assist with the hiring and training of shop personnel
Prioritize jobs in shop and manage jobs in progress
Recording all shop comebacks and reporting to the manager
Determine conformance of schedule and shop scope of work
Directing field and shop personnel on a daily basis
Schedule incoming work and assigns shop work to mechanics
Handle all yardman duties when not involved in foreman activities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the regional repair shop
