happen.ResponsibilitiesThe Operations Coordinator is responsible
for ensuring Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspection
requirements are met in a timely manner pursuant to HUD HQS program
requirements for approximately 400 units receiving housing
assistance through the PHAs Housing Choice Voucher Program. The
Operations Coordinator will manage the Inspections Department
support staff and will be responsible for the efficient operation
of the HQS inspection program. In addition, this position provides
compliance support to Director of
Inspections.QualificationsRequired Experience:Incumbent performs
work requiring a deep understanding of HUD rules and local
requirements relative to the HCV program Housing Quality Standards.
In addition, the employee must be able to handle complex
interpersonal situations involving conflicts between assisted
tenants and landlords and compliance issues with inspectors with
skill and professionalism.Required Education/Training:Bachelors
degree or five (5) years commensurate experience working with
property management, social service or community service
agencies.Required Skills and Abilities:Excellent written and oral
communication skills.Ability to remain focused in a demanding work
environment; ability to continuouslyreprioritize
responsibilities.Ability to work directly with residents in a
non-judgmental manner.Basic computer skills required to prepare
documents, spreadsheets, and email communications; experience with
publishing software a plus.A proven ability to build productive
professional working relationships with diverse individuals and
groups.Ability to plan and prioritize dutiesAbility to work
independentlyWorking Conditions:While performing the duties of this
job, the employee is frequently required to maintain a stationary
position, operate computers and other office equipment, move about
the office, attend onsite and offsite meetings, and communicate.
The employee is also occasionally required to visit properties
which may require ascending and descending stairs and ladders to
conduct physical inspections. While inspecting housing units and/or
building structures, the employee may occasionally be required to
position self to observe work completed under cabinets, sinks, etc.
or in high locations. Employee may utilize tools and mechanical
equipment. The employee must be able to accurately exchange
information in person, in writing and via e-mail and
