Supervisor is currently based out of Kinder Morgan's Southern
Natural Gas (SNG) Franklinton Compressor Station Number 5122
located at 42621 Highway 16, Franklinton, LA 70438. This position
also supports our TOCA Compressor Station 5110 located at 2400
Bayou Road, Saint Bernard, LA 70085.This position is currently
posted at both the Franklinton and TOCA/St Bernard locations.

an account to upload your resume. Primary Purpose: Provide
supervisory leadership to crews in assigned geographic area
including two compressor stations in Franklinton, LA and St.
Bernard, LA. Responsible for the safety and environmental programs,
compliance with company procedures and government regulations,
development and management of budgets, employee training and
development and overview of administrative functions relevant to
the work.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide supervisory leadership to crews in assigned geographic
areas
- Ability to supervise, communicate, schedule, and lead direct
reports
- Responsible for safety and environmental programs, compliance
with company procedures and government regulations, development and
management of budgets, employee training and development and
overview of administrative functions relevant to the work
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of pipeline
transmission facilities to ensure their safe, reliable, and
efficient operation
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of process
equipment, instrumentation, pumps, vessels, heat exchangers,
pipelines, compressors and auxiliary equipment, engines, turbines,
motors, cooling equipment, valves, seals and other related
equipment
- Ensure the cost effective and efficient performance of pumps,
exchangers, engines and associated equipment at compressor stations
and pipelines
- Install, repair, service and maintain instrumentation, valves,
pipe, pipeline appurtenances and associated equipment
- Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all
facilities and equipment, including pipeline right-of-way,
including, but not limited to excavating, repairing, coating and
backfilling pipelines, concrete work, painting, building erection,
weed control, etc.
- Maintain, adjust, make minor repairs and operate equipment
(i.e., industrial wheeled tractors, water pumps, air compressors,
expanders, coolers, test equipment, vehicles, etc.)
- Represent the Company during contacts with landowner / tenants,
public officials / emergency officials and at local meetings (One
Call, Pipeline Groups, Soil Conservation, USFS, etc.)
- Oversee construction and/or maintenance activities performed by
third parties
- Train and oversee company and third party personnel as required
(i.e., personnel in progression, transport drivers, contractors,
visitors
- Perform governmental compliance activities (OSHA, DOT, State
Agencies, EPA, USF, etc.)
- Identify, report and correct safety and environmental
concerns
- Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives
- Participate in the development of O&M Procedures, Site
Specific Procedures, project scopes and work plans
- Complete all applicable documentation and record keepingThe

Position Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalentExperience / specific
knowledge:
- Prior supervisory experience or a minimum of five years of
experience in the natural gas industry
- Knowledge of Company procedures and government regulations
relevant to pipeline operationsCertifications, Licenses,
Registrations:
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and
satisfactory driving record to be insurable by the Company
insurance carrier
- Subject to license or certification requirements or training as
stipulated by local, state or federal agencies or the
CompanyCompetencies, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to plan, organize, document, prioritize and complete
work efficiently
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage crews at
multiple locations and perform multiple tasks on a daily basis
- Must be able to communicate, verbally and in writing, in
English
- Strong commitment to safety
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication,
division, fractions and decimals
- Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various
operating systems and other company software
- Perform all work in compliance with Company standards,
procedures, regulatory and Company tariff requirements
- Demonstrate performance and leadership toward operational
excellence.
- Must have good attention to detail.Physical Demands:
- Employee must be physically capable of completing and
satisfying all training requirements as stipulated by local, state
or federal agencies and/or Company Policy.
- Must be able to frequently enter confined spaces, and climb to
and work from elevated platforms, ladders and walkways
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in awkward
positions and 50 pounds from floor to waist
- Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions,
climb vertical access ladders and stairwells, carry up to 50 pounds
and to see, hear, walk and talk effectively.Working Conditions:
- May work in low-lit areas
- Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions
- Depending upon the location and workload, travel may be
required
- Must be available for shift work when applicable
- Field activities may include walking to and among work and/or
constructions sites, climbing in and out of trenches, working
around heavy equipment and working in confined spaces
- Must be available for responding to emergency situations on a
24/7 basisPREFERRED EDUCATION: (Above the minimum requirements; not
required but advantageous in this position.)
- Preference may be given to candidates with college degrees,
especially a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or similar
