team.Company IntroductionMarch bursts with historic charm, due to
our location in Americas oldest public market. The French Market
was first founded in 1791 on the banks of the Mississippi River and
has remained a popular French Quarter destination ever since.
Though the market has been built and rebuilt many times,
significant sections include the Butchers Market, now home to the
famous Caf du Monde; the Bazaar Market, built by Joseph Abeilard,
one of our nations first African-American architects; and the
Cuisine Market, now home to March. All of the buildings run
alongside Dutch Alley, a statue-lined pedestrian plaza also
available for event rentals.
Before opening March, the building was carefully renovated to bring
out its historic French Quarter charms. We hand-applied old-world
Venetian plaster and restored the closed, unused balconies to their
original open-air beauty. March is sure to sparkle during your next
wedding or special event.
