Description:Primary PurposeProvides technical support in the development of construction drawings, field sketches, and material takeoffs of structural and piping components.Essential FunctionsPrepare material take-offs using design drawings for estimating and procurement of materials purposes.Develop structural, piping drawings, and field sketches in support of project requirements - roll letters, cut sheets, etc.Performs periodic field visits and provides on-site technical support.Perform other related duties as required.Environmental ConditionsMost work activities are performed indoors.Requirements:Physical RequirementsStanding-Is an essential job function/physical requirement.Walking- This is an essential job function/physical requirement.Turning, twisting, bending, and stooping- These physical requirements are essential job functions.Balancing, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing-These are all considered regular physical duties/requirements and would be needed /required to work in this industrial environment in a safe and efficient mannerLifting - employees must be able to lift to 15 pounds.Job RequirementsHigh School diploma with a minimum of two (2) years of Autocad experience.Experience with MS-Word & MS-Excel.Tools and Equipment UsedOffice equipmentEnvironmental Conditions80 to 90% of the work activities are performed indoors.Gulf Island is not accepting unsolicited candidates from search firms for posted employment opportunities.
