and cover letter with your application. Job Summary The Recruitment
Coordinator for Gulf Park holds the primary responsibility for
leading recruitment staff on the Gulf Park Campus. The coordinator
will be responsible for the organization of recruitment events, the
creation and use of marketing materials, management of prospective
student data, and have a specified territory of recruitment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities + Supervises Gulf Park
recruitment staff to include personnel matters, evaluation, and
oversees ongoing training. Supports a wide variety of academic
programming both on and off-campus, including orientation,
registration, and on-campus recruitment events at Southern Miss.+
Maintains constant evaluation of recruitment efforts including
collecting and analyzing data, assessing satisfaction, and making
appropriate changes and improvements in alignment with the
University's mission. Maintains records of recruitment activities
according to established protocol.+ Responsible for continued
development of the recruitment areas, working with faculty and
staff, and implementing best practices in support of recruitment
efforts. Provides early advisement to students enrolled at the
community college with the intention of attending Southern Miss.+
Serves as a liaison by establishing a regular presence in assigned
recruitment area. Regularly staffs office hours, builds
collaborative relationships with community college faculty and
staff, attends and coordinates setting up for assigned recruitment
events, and is a key advocate for transfer students as they
transition to the University. Plans and coordinates campus and area
events such as information workshops, college visits and tours,
college fairs, business and industry visits, etc. Extensive local
travel with an occasional overnight stay.+ Works closely with
Admissions, Financial Aid, and the Registrar to ensure policies are
followed. Serves as a contact for prospective and new students
explaining all admissions and degree program requirements. Assists
new students in navigating the admissions, financial aid, and
registration process. Collaborates with Gulf Park units to meet all
student support needs and facilitate the transition from
recruitment to advising.+ Coordinates recruitment activities with
the marketing strategist person/position and others as necessary to
ensure recruitment functions align with larger strategies around
enrollment management.+ Corresponds with all prospective students,
faculty, and staff with a high degree of professionalism. Able to
work within the University's data management system.+ Performs
other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree
in liberal arts, business, education, psychology, or any other
appropriate field from an accredited college/university. 3-5 years
recruitment and/or admissions experience. Previous leadership
experience required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities+ Understands
higher education and can use industry/professional terminology
fluently and has a working knowledge of university degree programs
and requirements.+ Employs excellent written and verbal
communication skills.+ Adept in office systems and technology.+
Demonstrates the ability to deliver accurate, concise, and quality
communication, both verbal and written, in a timely manner. Adapts
communication style to meet the needs of diverse audiences and
situations. Listens to understand others and provides quality
feedback.+ Works to build and manage productive relationships with
peers, leaders, and customer groups. Effectively engages with

results.+ Manage a complicated day, weekly, and monthly schedule
with recurring important professional commitments on and off
campus.+ Possess valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a
Southern Miss Driver Certification. Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in liberal arts, business, education, psychology,
or any other appropriate field from an accredited
college/university. Five years of recruitment and/or admissions
experience. Direct supervisory experience in college/university
