Job Description:
-Our Behavior Interventionists impact students' lives by:
Implementing with fidelity the school
discipline and behavioral support systemsCollaborating with student
support team members and teachers to help students maintain high
behavior expectationsWorking closely with the classroom teacher to
support instruction for more than 50% of the workdayBuilding
effective relationships with students and families and
professionally communicating with families to encourage behavior
changes at the schoolMaintaining a school culture conducive to
raising student achievement including, but not limited to,
monitoring behavior pull-out rooms, hallways, cafeteria,
after-school detention, and recessCollecting and analyzing
behavioral data to inform discipline decisions and improve
practiceProviding supportive interventions to families and
studentsAfter CPI training, implementing de-escalation techniques
when working with students in crisisResponding with urgency to
student support needsTransitioning disruptive students quickly and
without escalation from the classroomMonitoring behavior pull-out
rooms so students have a calm and orderly place to redirect
themselvesImplementing weekly feedback and goal-setting into daily
practiceParticipating in daily, weekly, and quarterly meetings
about student achievement -Participating in the life of the school,
including student activities and eventsEmbodying, advocating, and
operationalizing the mission, vision, and direction of the
schoolTaking on other tasks, as needed -Apply now if you: -

students in urban settingsHave a BA or BS degree
(preferred)Knowledge of social-emotional and behavioral
interventions a plusBilingual (Spanish/English) a plus -Physical
Requirements
Regularly required to sit, stand,
walk, talk, hear, kneel, crouch, operate a computer and other
office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally
lift and/or move up to 10 poundsAfter being trained in CPI, may be
required to restrain a student -This is an in-person role -About
